Well ummmmm....

Well in my last post I talked to you all about us matching up with our rival, Lenior Rhyne. Ummmm we loss the game. We didnt play up to our potential and let another opprotunity slip from our grasps. We didnt step up in the big game environment and we loss. I was very disappointed, but we lived to see another day.

On Wednesday we played Carson-Newman. We jumped out a little slow and eventually pulled out the win in the second half. That game was extremely important, we had to get our confidence back and we needed a win for home court in the conference tournament.

Senior day is coming up, and we have Brevard coming here. Another big game that cant slip away. I think were ready though. WE have our confidence back and we should have a good showing.

I think all of the guys are seeing the big picture now. Hopefully we can get into our early season stride, making all the plays needed to win the game. The March Madness is brewing and we always seem like were ready for the big time.

Rebirth

Hello everyone! Today is my second day on the blog, and also the resurgence of our team. After losing to Newberry, we got our butts whooped in practice by our coaches. It killed me physically. My knees were sore as crap afterward. We went to Mars Hill and played our butts off. Their defensive scheme is crazy! They're all over the place

After winning at Mars Hill, we had Lincoln Memorial up next. They had to come to us, the game was more personal than anything for me. They embarrassed us out there, so we had to win this game. Winning against them would also put us back in the hunt for the regular season title.

We traded the lead back and forth throughout the game, I thought we had momentum going into the second half but they got up by 9 points with 5 min left in the game. After getting chewed out by coach we finally got it together and took the lead. We won by three points.

Saturday is a BIG game. We play Lenoir Rhyne (LR). Our rivals. Enough said. We play there Saturday. I expect the gym to be packed. I know the guys will be ready for this one. How could you not be ready for this one?! Its been on my mind since we won the last one.

This should be a one to remember. Come see us play!!

Day One.. Ok, 120.

Hi, Im Rob. I am a junior at Catawba College and I am on the school's basketball team. Our season has had its share of ups and downs. Too bad our downs come during conference play. Our pre-season was tough. We made it through though, everyone got better through the process.

Our season started off great we got to play some good teams. Even got to play NC State! That was an amazing experience, something I had been waiting for a long time. The team played well, I scored 21 points on an ACC school. That was alot of motivation. That experience has carried me through the season.

Once the regular season started. We were rolling. We knocked off 8 straight games. We loss our 1st game to Johnson C. Smith, they always seem to give us trouble. Lost our 2nd one to a really good Augusta State team on a buzzer beater. We also lost to UNC Asheville, they outworked us.

After the Xmas break we won five straight conference games and.............. blew 4 straight games after that streak!!!!! We were 9th in the nation playing well, and all of a sudden were off.

This is the point we pick up at. February 12th. Were 5th in the conference and were trying to find a way. We have 5 games left in this season. This is gonna be a journey this month, as well as March.
